Submitting an Event for Broadcast
The radio station broadcasts special events that are about to take place in the community.
These include such things as the annual Gold Detector Jamboree, the
periodical Country Markets, Australia Day and so on.
Organisers of events can request a promo on the radio within a few weeks of the event taking place and those
promo's will be included into the Monthly Events Bulletin which is played at the top of each hour.
The bulletin can also be viewed on this web site (see link above) and on the T.V. in the newsagents window on High Street .
There is no cost involved in developing and broadcasting these promo's.
There are however a few eligibility criteria:-
1) The event must be open to all members of the public, including unaccompanied visitors. Private functions or any events that exclude certain
sections of the public cannot be broadcast (this is an ACMA
licence condition for visitor radio broadcasters)
2) We are not allowed to promote purely commercial events such as end of year sales or any event run by a commercial entity for the
prime purpose of enhancing profits.
Submitting an event
The information required so as to be able to submit an event for broadcast will need to include:-
2) The location, date and time.
3) The cost (if applicable).
4) The main features of the event.
5) Food - Is it BYO, provided free (or included in admission costs), or available for sale.
6) Drink - Is alcohol permitted, BYO, provided free or available for sale.
7) Any other relevant information.
